Reasonable Adjustments...



Reasonable adjustments are a service provided to people with disabilities under the Disability Discrimination Act.  It means that when you are at work or in full time education, or if you need to attend a company for a job interview you are entitled to services which would make your position the same as anybody else without a disability.  Other situations that may be covered are doctor/hospital appointments or legal attendances.


As well as communication support (Speech-To-Text, British Sign Language, Deaf/Blind Interpreting and Lipspeakers), there are other services covered by reasonable adjustments, for instance health and safety issues such as fire alarms and other communication devices such as Textphone and Minicom. There are many others. These are all covered by Access to Work.
